Earthy Greenhouse Wedding Inspiration
This beautiful collaboration was my first styled shoot and it was an honor to have my work styled by the talented Auburn + Ivory and brought to life in the beautiful photos of Rachel Joy Baransi. We were thrilled to have it featured on 100 Layer Cake.
"Though snowy outside, this styled shoot evoked the exotic using McCullough’s Nursery’s (in New Albany, OH) private indoor greenhouse: a warm, romantic, and unique venue that inspired brides could find available near them year-round. The color palette has a large enough variety to complement all seasons, including elements of Pantone’s colors of the year, rose quartz and serenity, without overwhelming the trend."
For this shoot, I created two complimentary table runners in white and grey. One was crepe de chine and the other a silk hemp blend. Used together, the similar pattern, but differing textures played perfectly off of one another.
I also made shibori dyed linen napkins with hand frayed edges and silk/hemp ribbon for the bouquet.
So thrilled that this beautiful styled shoot was featured today on 100 Layer Cake! Just can't get over all the beautiful elements designed by Auburn + Ivory and the beautiful light that Rachel Joy Baransi is a master at catching.
The Lesser Bear contributed steely grey hemp/silk ribbon, which has a lovely textured ribbing and goes so well with this amazing dress. I also contributed two types of shibori dyed silk runners, and linen shibori dyed napkins, which gave a subtle patterning to the tablescape - you can find some of these in the shop.
